I don’t have enough experience with the stock 47 tooth sprocket to make a fully informed comparison. However, the 45 tooth sprocket does seem to even out the shifting pattern, especially 1st gear. And it doesn’t compromise the pulling ability of 1st. I would recommend this as a noticeable upgrade.

Had the 43 tooth sprocket but I have lots of long steep hills and decided to go to the 45 tooth, much better for my conditions.

45t Spocket for Janus 250
This sprocket definitely makes a difference, giving my Janus Halcyon 250 a much needed boast through the entire gear pattern. Longer range between gears, smoother at high speeds and a little more top speed (3 to 5 mph)

Janus 250 rear sprocket
Janus 250 43T rear sprocket dropped my RPM by @1000 at speed and is a huge improvement when added to the Janus 250 Performance carburetor package and the Janus Halcyon 250 MotoCult TND Performance exhaust V2. I have ordered many performance parts from MotoCult and Devin's description of what you should expect in performance is spot on. The Janus motorcycle and MotoCult performance parts are as close to American made as you are gonna find in a modern motorcycle.
