A center stand should have come with the bike originally.

It's smaller and lighter(3ib 11oz) than I thought it would be, but looks OEM when installed. I took me about 1 hour; I wouldn't call the installation easy, but it works perfectly now. Since I don't have a lift, I put down some furniture pads and laid the bike over on it's right side. I've used this technique on other motorcycles when changing wheels. No gas leaked from the tank, but a little came from the carb. Janus tank caps are not vented. I thought I had it licked, but then stripped out a hole in the engine case. This after the 13mm bolt was all the way in, and I was using a 4" open end wrench. I'm not strong. The fix was a longer bolt with jamb nut. Also, there is not enough clearance for a 17mm socket on either side of the thru bolt. Finally, in order to deploy the stand, you have to lift the rear of the motorcycle ~2", which is hard for me. An unexpected bonus is that I can now spin and slide the Janus sideways across my epoxied shop floor.

Center Stand

A bit of a challenge to get an allen wrench on two of the four fasteners, but once it's on the bike, it works great. Now I can lube the chain easier and clean the rear wheel when the lube slings off.

Just in time for DGR

Took some patience and tinkering but it’s finally on. And it is worth the trouble. The right side was a little bit of hell to install. In a nutshell, the brake lever and the frame severely interfere with installation. The pivot bolt needed to be reversed as it arrived going the opposite way. As such, the nut end was too big to clear the brake lever by any stretch. Got that corrected but couldn’t get the back right cap head bolt in. Finally replaced it with one I could tighten with wrench. That did the trick. Will probably keep the kickstand on just for ease. But I’m glad I have the center stand for service.

Appears to be well thought out and well made. Can't wait to put it on the bike.

Long awaited mod

I had a center stand on my BMW R69s and really liked it. Devin and crew at Motocult did a good job on this product as they have withheld all their products. It took a little fiddling to get it place but the fit and finish of the stand is very good. Once installed I removed the side stand. I now have a more stable stand and a service stand all in one.
