Stage 4 Plus is the ultimate performance package for your Janus Halcyon 250. This is the famed Stage 4 kit plus the performance carburetor package and performance clutch springs. This kit includes everything you need to turn your stock 229cc engine into a very powerful and reliable 250cc beast. This kit doubles the horsepower of the stock engine! This is not a race engine, MotoCult designed Stage 4 to deliver smooth and predictable power throughout the entire RPM range. Imagine reaching speeds of over 70MPH with ease, yep, it is now possible with this kit. The exhaust for this kit fits perfectly on a Halcyon 250 but it will work on a Phoenix with a few simple parts from Janus.

We highly recommend adding the Deluxe silent roller rocker arms to this kit.

Shifting points:

First to second gear 0-23 MPH

Second to third gear 23-43 MPH

Third to fourth gear 43-63 MPH

Fourth to fifth gear 63-73 MPH

This kit includes:

 -28mm perfomance Nibbi carburetor, 3 main jets, 2 pilot jets, silicone air box coupler, and a throttle cable that is made for this carburetor on a Halcyon. 

-Six performance clutch springs

-A true 250cc power cylinder with piston, rings, wrist pin, and clips. Did you know that your stock CG250 is actually only 229cc? This piston and cylinder will increase your displacement by nearly 10%

-16mm length location dowels 

-Oil cooler with precut hoses and custom brackets for your specific frame

-Ported, polished and flowed performance head

-Full stainless steel V2 performance exhaust

-Stainless steel head gasket 

-Stage 4 enamel badge

-Composite base gasket

-292 Power cam (cam is already installed in gear)

-Deluxe stock exhaust gasket

-Magneto puller tool

-Deluxe valve cover gasket

-Crankshaft seal (you will need to remove your old one to line up the new cam gear)

-43T  rear sprocket

-Stainless steel riser plate for the rocker box. This plate allows you to keep the push rods at stock length.

Transformative and redefining

There was nothing wrong with my stock Janus Gryffin 250, it was everything it promised to be. Having the stage 4 kit installed was a way to say thanks to my bike for handling all the miles I had wrung from it at wide open throttle keeping up with larger displacement machines and carving down winding roads. The power and balance of this kit took me quite by surprise, the bike feels so responsive and smooth. I didn't want just a gob of extra power, and this kit delivers all the essential upgrades to make use of the extra HP and revs. Gear shifts, ratios, idle speeds, warmup times, throttle response, consistent engine temps, cold starts and hot starts are all noticeably better, and it is apparent much thought and care was put into designing these upgrades with a very insightful and integrated sense of the machine as a whole. No regrets, your bike deserves this!

6500 miles on a stage 4 in 7 months

My Stage 4 is a little different in that, at 5700 miles, I made the change to a Paragon cam, silent rockers, and 41 tooth rear sprocket. My comments apply to both before and after these changes.
-As many have said: 1) The Stage 4 kit transforms this bike. If you are going to drop the cash on a Janus, don't be hesitant to pony up the few extra $$ to make it soooo much more enjoyable to ride. 2) Devin's support, texts and phone calls, is top notch. He always answers the phone, is always kind and helpful, and ships parts quickly.
-A Stage 4 Halcyon is a very enjoyable and comfortable ride. I've had over 70 motorcycles, lots of Japanese, Italian, American, British, and German, and this Janus may be the most fun to ride.....or at least in the top 5! Also unexpectantly comfortable(!?) I have done multiple 200 to 300 mile days and was more comfy than my BMW RT.

Great company to deal with!!!

Bought Janus Halcyon #627 new in 2021 and have always loved it on the roads up here in Maine. Just got it back from Devin at Mototcult.....and wow!!! Got the stage 4 plus installed as well as upgraded lights. The bike has soooooo much more power and it sounds like a million bucks. The tail light is way cool, but the headlight is like "night and day" compared to the stock headlight. I always avoid riding at night, but life happens and sometimes you have to. The motocult LED light must be several times more powerful than the LED light that came with the bike. It makes riding at night so much less stressful. Devin is an absolute pleasure to deal with and he is a magician with these bikes.

500 miles in

500 miles in with a stage 4 plus, rear brake, and neutral start delete, just wow. This bike now has plenty of power, through all of the power band. Personally, I find 4500 to 7500 rpm the best range to be running. But this makes it where the bike does not have any issue running up to 75mph. The braking is absolutely fantastic, with complete control. I can not recommend both the service at Motocult, nor the products enough. They took a 10 out of 10 product in a Halcyon 250 and cranked it up to 11.
